H.E. Browder Veneer Company Inc. was established in 1949 by Herbert Ervin Browder. Hub was one of six brothers that open their own veneer mill throughout the state of Alabama. At that time Herbert manufactured fruit and ammunition boxes for the military. In, 1979 Herbert died, and his youngest son George assume ownership of the company at twenty-four years old. Since that time George and his wife Vicki have operated the company.  As veneer markets evolved George made numerous improvements to the facility to compete with the ever-changing markets. Today, H.E, Browder Veneer Company Inc. produces veneers for engineered flooring and door manufactures among other products such as curved plywood, panels, and die boards.
